I believe you are referring to sarcoptic mange and auto correct brought up sarcophagus(a burial chamber)! Sarcoptic mange is a microscopic parasite of the skin. It causes hair loss, itching, and secondary skin infections. We see this on occasion at the sanctuary. It is treated with topical parasiticides and dips. Confirmation of this disease should be made by a veterinarian.
