Muscus in chest

My cat has been experiencing what sounds like muscus in his chest. He does not have running eyes or nose. His vet gives him a Convenia shot and it clears up. However, in about two months or so it comes back. His vet thinks it might be asthma but to me he doesn’t have the symptoms. Do you have a suggestion of what it might be?

This does sound like a form of feline asthma. Routine blood work and chest radiographs should be done while the cat is having an episode. I have good luck with depomedrol to control the symptoms of feline asthma.
