We bought in a new cat which gave her fleas(meds were not on long enough before we bough in her) Now her red blood cells are high. FIV cat now her red cells are near normal with antibotics and predizone but now he said her white cells are low and give the pretizone to her. She is now having seizures or involuntary muscles movements. We stopped the meds today all three of them. Can Enrofloxacin 22mg , Cyproheptadine 4mg, Prednisolone 15mg cause seizures? I need help! It was just today she started not walking right, legs and tail moving oddly without reason, by it self,-involuntary muscles movements. She is eating and using litter. I am so scared to use the vet again!

This site is NOT intended for emergency situations! This cat needs immediate evaluation and care. The medications you mention here are not typically associated with seizure activity. Fleas would generally cause anemia, not an increase in red blood cells. The increased RBC can indicate dehydration. FIV will definitely cause a decrease in WBC. At the Sanctuary we support our FIV cats with subq fluids, cyrproheptadine, antibiotics, vitamin injections, hemp oil, and prednisilone. Please have this cat re-evaluated ASAP!
