I have a 9 year old female neutered cat who urinates on my carpets.

It was so bad I had to take up the carpet and replace it with a laminate flooring. She always went in the corners, so she picked her spots. Now that she no longer has her carpet corners she goes on my throw rugs. I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes which are scooped daily and changed weekly. My other cat does not do this. Why does she do this?

Have you ruled out a bladder infection? If so, your cat may have an emotional problem. There are litter box additives that can help direct problem cats back to the box (check at your local pet store and veterinarian). There are drugs that have shown to help. Amitriptylline at low doses is one such drug. Animal communicators may be able to pinpoint the source of the problem’
