How do I lower my dog’s high liver scores?

Doctor won’t see her till next weekend. Meanwhile, her scores rise:
ALT >1000, AST 212, and ALKP 1609. Ultrasound showed no tumors but adrenal gland on one side enlarged. Is it safe to let this go another week until they do more tests? The doctor thinks it’s hormonal. Best food? Omega-3 okay? (I got some hemp seed oil for her and I have some flax seed, too).

Your brief description leads me to believe there is a likely hormonal problem, Cushing’s Disease. If she is alert and without serious signs of illness the time frame should be fine. For liver support at the Sanctuary for a 50 lb dog we use Hemp oil 5 ml once daily, S-adenosylmethionine(SAMe) 400 mg twice daily, and milk thistle 1000 mg daily. Doses should be adjusted for small or very large dogs. Purina Veterinary Diet EN would be a good choice for food.
