eye isssue with cat

My 16yr. old cat just developed a white area over 3% of his eye. Any suggestions an to what this might be?
Also, can Delta suggest a resonable vet near Danbury, CT 06810?

The white area over the cornea may be as benign as a corneal dystrophy or as serious as an active ulcer. Your cat should be examined by your regular veterinarian to determine how serious this may be. I do not have any referrals for Danbury, CT.
