My 20yr old friend is trying to get her life together & her dog needs neutering. She has no money. Is there anywhere near Modesto she can go for help. She can't get dog shots with him being neutered. Please help
Wonderful website. Recently rescued a kitten who has ringworm. She was prescribed lime/sulpher dip which is working but has not totally cleared it. Have dipped 6 times. Also applying a topical antifungal. How do you manage ringworm at your shelter? My kitten is seperated from my two dogs and eight cats but I am afraid of them catching it. I have gotten ringworm and am being treated by a derm. Does the ringworm usually resolve? What type of disinfectant do you use at the shelter? Any info you could share on the subject would be very appreciated. Thank you

I have a 2 year male american pitbull terrier, he was put on temaril due to kennel cough. I have experienced aggression problems every since the second day of medication. Is this normal? can the steroid in the medication be causing this?
Several years ago Leo wrote in one of his newsletters that cats who have had annual shots for several years (I forget the exact wording here) do not need to continue with them. In fact, a visit to the vet can do more harm than good since it is possible for them to pick up a virus while there. I have not been giving my cats shots and they remain healthy, but I worry that I am doing them some sort of harm, especially since they are indoor/outdoor pets. I'd appreciate your comments.
when a dog doesn't get vaccinated and she gets an intestinal disease what is the best vitamin or support to build the immune system after being on IV'S AND ANTIBIOTICS? Any particular dog food? raw meat and veggies? dry food?
I just got a post card from my vet reminding us that our 4 yr old Lab is due his DHLPP & CVK. Are both of these shots necessary on a yearly basis?
We have rescued many Shelties over the last 20+ years and they have all enjoyed a good life until they reach about 12 - 13 years. We know that at least four of our Shelties have died of cancer: pancreas, prostate, bladder and lung. They all have been given premium dog food, regular checkups. We have read that flea control could be one of the reasons for the cancer or we could be "over" vaccinating our pets. Can you please share your thoughts on this?
