Water is entering his lungs and he is coughing from lack of oxygen. I have him on pimobendan and furosemide. pimo: 1.25mg split in 2 doses every 12 hrs. AND .5ml of furosemide every 12hrs. (10mg per ml).
He is still coughing, any other thoughts on what I can do to help my lil dog not suffer so much from breathing and not being able to run or bark because it gets his heart rate up and makes him cough. He is 6 lbs. Yorkshire Terrier. 12 years young.
She is lethargic and then playful. It makes no sense. She is Lyla and 5 and the love of my life. Should I take her to the vet? Can dogs show so many different behaviors in one day -- meaning sad and sick and then full of life the next minute? My pugs and lab mixes never had this behavior.
I have a box of toys that I have been collecting when I see them on sale etc.
I'm a veterinary assistant that am originally from So California and worked as a vet tech and moved to Washington State. I was thinking about moving back. I heard about D.E.L.T.A. and was interested in the place. I've been working as an assistant for 14 years and been working with and around animals since I was very young. This seems like a place I would be happy working for.
volunteer work in exchange for some type of housing for single retiree with the income who's basic DNA is this person gets along better with animals than with people just don't fit in in the other world.
We already have 3 other rescues and I’m chronically ill with Lupus. I’m finding taking care of these sweet puppies extremely exhausting. I need help finding them trustworthy homes in Lubbock, Texas. Need recommendations
Anything I can give her to help regain weight and give her more nutrition. She is on Hills Prescription I/D food and a probiotic.
Eats & drinks normally. Regular vet says nothing to be concerned about, not unusual for cat's age.
In all your rescued cats have you ever come across an Inflammed Eye Socket? I have been told by many vets that my Cat's illness is a mystery and they don't know much about Inflamed eye sockets. My Cat is Spayed 16ys (in Dec). All teeth pulled in July 2019 due to gingivostomatitis. Inside Mouth cleared. Fine for month. Started pawing a mouth after eat/drinking. Blood test show some bacteria in Kidney. Treated with Veraflox. Still pawing. Did An Ultra Sound/Normal except the bacteria which has since cleared up. Still pawing. Her left eye beginning to protrude out. DID A CT-SCAN Nov 2019. No tumors. What it showed was inflammation of the left EYE SOCKET and UPPER LEFT SINUS AREA. Meds: Prednisolone 5 mg/24 hr. Buprenex 0.1 ml 8-12 hrs for pain. The last Blood Test/All normal. From pawing she dug a hole in her cheek area. While at FoxFeed in CC yesterday they recommended I try Vetericyn Plus, for wound. 1st app. last night. She has always been drinking and eating through all of this. She is a fighter and I don't want to just give up on her. In all your years of rescuing have you ever come across this type of Socket Inflammation? At this point I sure could use some of your wisdom and insight. Thank you for your time.
i took the dog to the vet to get chekced out they said she needs her front paw to be amputated, so far ive just been cleaning her wound, i cant aford it,and shes not even my dog i been looking for a rescue center or good people whilling to take her, care for her and be sure she finds a good home but ive got nothing so far....she is a very good dog a bit scare of people but when she warms up to you she is the sweetest. i dont know where tp look or what do do but i need to help her now.

My 12-lb. 10-yr-old chihuaua (Marlet) coughs. She's done it for years, but seems to be increasing. She seems otherwise healthy and active, has a good appetite and appropriate waste elimination. Her teeth aren't in great shape. She often coughs upon waking in the morning, but sometimes after playing. It's a deep, rasping cough, but she shows no signs of throat soreness. She often coughs several times and concludes with a "gag". Other times (but not always), she seems to be able to stop voluntarily when her name is called or if she's offered a treat. She's seen a veterinarian for other things, lameness, chiropractic, bee sting, when her heart has been checked with no mention of problem by the vet.
I am looking for a diet for my golden retriever 4 years old who is medicated with phenobarbital for seizures
I have three dogs that were left with me and I can no longer care for and owner won't take them back. What can I do?
I dont have the knowledge or means to gain trust in this kitten it will die if no one helps us and no one i habe contacted will help
My husband says he too aggressive and we need to get rid of him
17-month-old pit bull's left ear consistently irritated, inflamed, reddish-brown "dirt". No fleas or ticks. She's the only one of 7 dogs who has the problem and only in one ear. I clean it regularly and have used Mometavet as prescribed in the past. I need a "second opinion".
Can i use CBD oils with her? We are packing to move soon and she is anxious. We will be going from a three floor town house where she is an indoor outdoor cat...to a four room apt (temporarily) and she will be a strictly indoor cat.
My cat had 5 upper teeth pulled in April 2019. Bumps in upper gum only area. Bio was done came back Neg for anything. Gums were fine for awhile but are now inflamed and has trouble eating. She is on 0.1ml Gabapentin oral and Mirtazapine 15mg (1/3 pill every other day for appetite.
Do you know of any supplement or treatment for her? Everyone tells me to pull all the teeth because that is the only way to help her. I want to of course make the best decision for her. I would love to know you opinion on this.
He takes 2.5mg SID. Is it safe to vaccinate him
Fiona is a 1-year old collie mix. She is aggressive to people and other dogs and she is becoming aggressive to family members. We have tried everything we can afford. We tried with a trainer and now a behaviorist. Unfortunately we don't have the resources needed to keep her with a behaviorist as it takes $235/hour + boot camps for a long period of time. We love her and don't want to put her down. We want her to be safe. Please advise.
I found a stray a few months ago and soon after she started losing her fur and now she is mostly bald with flaky skin that oozes something and has fowl odor ( I say like wet soggy old potatoes, like for hash browns, but my family says it's way more disgusting) and she has a overly healthy appetite and drinks loads of water but she remains super skinny and looks emaciated. I took her to the vet but I couldn't afford the blood tests that might have diagnosed what was wrong with her. They prescribed pills; prednisone, cephalexin and a shampoo; ketohex. I couldn't afford them all ado the vet gave me what he felt would suffice. The treatment worked at first and I even bought more of the same shampoo online. but now she looks like it's returning. Do you have any suggestions on anything I can do to get her healthy again? I'm out of options and can't afford another trip to the vet I'm disabled and rely on ssi to get by.
I have 2 small dogs and 1 large dog are you a no kill shelter, and how long would they stay if not adopted
I have a senior chihuahua who is in the end-stages of CHF and is taking vetmedin, Enalapril, Lasix and hydrocodone. I would like to cut back on the hydrocodone and try CBD to see if I can give him some comfort. Are there any drug interactions, specifically with the vetmedin since it’s a calcium blocker?
Had to vet has been on antibiotics and now lasix. Doesn't want to drank as much as usual .Acts like has problem with male parts. Fear may be slightly blockage or prostate trouble? Sometimes can't pee for short while needs instegated sometimes like baby.
My wife and I recently lost our cat to what we believe was a heart attack. To have a cat live with us for 8 years, then suddenly die without warning or symptom has been devastating. We want to get another kitten but are concerned the same thing might happen. From what I've read, it seems like it's unavoidable and if your cat is predisposed to have the disease, there's nothing that can be done. Is this the case? Any idea why this disease is so prevalent among cats?
He has heart murmurs and it's a category 3 so he's taking Pimobendan and I want to give him CBD oil but I'm not sure if they will work against eachother.
I put gulls and made a rap around his neck he is a deibetic and he’s blind chi is 12 years old still eating. Just don’t no what to do for him
My dog was anemic for months and it was determined that she wasn’t producing red blood cells. IBD was apparently the cause and she was prescribed Prednisone and Cyclosporine.
