I have always had a connection with animals and always have felt more comfortable with them than most people. I started officially rescuing dogs- pit bulls, 2 years ago, after meeting up and rescuing a very special dog, a Pitbull mix, I named Horatio. When I found him, he had a broken tail in four places, almost had no fur, was severely emaciated and his ears had been cut in a very grotesque way. Horatio was maybe at the most 10 months.
Horatio lived for only 28 days after I found him, even though I did everything I could to take care of him and love him.He is the reason I have dedicated my life to save, love, nourish and find homes for dogs who have had a bad start in life.

I am watching a show right now about super sanctuaries on pets.TV. Today the Delta Rescue is the feature story & I am completely moved to tears. What Leo is providing for these for legged beautiful, yet abandoned, animals is wonderful.
Even in this economy with donations down Leo is holding on to his promise to love and care for these animals.
Leo I just want to say God bless you for your true unwavering love and care. I shall pray that your dream and vision continue. I will pray that the finances you need continue to flow in to aid in your blessing the dogs, cats and horses.

I saw a program on television that was talking about your organization and I couldn’t believe all the wonderful things you do for those animals; dogs, cats, and horses.
God bless you for all the good work you do. I was so impressed that I am mailing you a donation today in the mail. I had no idea that there was someone out there saving all these animals. You truly have a heart for loving animals.
We have two dogs our self and they are part of our family, so I totally understand how you feel about all these animals being part of your family.

My neighbor moved out of Texas and left all 20 cats. He claimed they could fend for themselves. I took them in. I live in the country in Texas. I also took their 2 dogs.
They were going to dump them in a shelter that puts the animal down after 2 weeks. I took in Snowflake (Great Dane) and Beanka (cow doggie).
You are truly a Saint Francis!

I know the animals that you rescue “Thank You” and give you all their love. It is so rewarding in life to see and feel the love of an animal, be it , dog,cat,horse, etc. Animals teach us life lessons in so many ways, we just have to open our hearts and listen.
Sometimes people are afraid to show love to another human, but with an dog, cat etc. they feel they are accepted for who they are, not what they are.

First I would like to say I am honored to be sending this post to you. I do have to admit I am somewhat jealous of your commitment in achieving your dream. I admire you for the hard work you do with the animals.
I have always visualized myself out in the open with fencing all around my property & have every kind of dog running free on the land TOGETHER, no fighting. I saw myself taking dogs off the street, stray dogs, abused dogs, etc. & taking them home to care for. Well anyways that is my dream but at 56 I guess I will have to just keep dreaming.

Just watched this film with with Katherine Heigl called ZYZZYX Road, it was pretty cool to watch. I actually read the end credits, and saw the part about how the animals enjoyed performing and were treated like movie stars! And that they were looked after by D.E.L.T.A, which I found really intriguing as I’ve never heard about your rescue. I love the fact that you’ve dedicated yourself to these neglected and forgotten animals. My house is full of ‘throw aways’ and we love each and every one of them. Anyway, just wanted to tell you, I am incredibly impressed by you and everyone who is a part of your vision… All of the animal lovers, want to say THANKS!! Cheers Linda
