Several years ago I rescued a 5 month old kitten who had a bad virus. His breathing was very labored and the vet (after antibiotics) said he would either outgrow it or have it forever. He is almost 8 and much of the time he breathes heavy like he is snoring. He is a tiny cat because half of the time when he eats, he chokes. Last year another vet thought it was a polyp in his nose and did surgery only to find swelled tonsils. she took two out but his breathing is still bad. He died during surgery but they revived him. I feel so bad for him. Another vet offered an MRI but I know it’s very expensive. What do you think this might be. This last vet thinks it’s polyps but that wasn’t discovered last year. I’m at my wits end.
My German Sheppard mix, Drake. He’s approximately 15-16 years old, almost deaf, his eyesight is getting really bad, & he wobbles a lot when he gets up from laying down…that is if he lays down. He paces frequently, most often at night than any other time. He’s also having more and more trouble with stairs. The lack of stability in his hind quarters is frightening. He’s fallen more than a few times. I believe he has arthritis and he paces because it hurts to lay down/can’t get comfortable. Do you know of any homeopathic/natural remedies that I can administer to him? He’s a wonderful dog and it breaks my heart to see him in such a fragile state. Thank you for your time.
I have a friend who has a male chihuaha who was a puppy breeder mill dog. When she got him he weighed 19 lbs (should be about 7). She has tried desperately to help him lose weight, but he will eat anything that he can get in his mouth, including wood and glass. I know these things are not fattening, but they are dangerous. He broke down a gate last night and ate three cups of cat food within seconds. This was after he had had his dinner. Any ideas what she can do? Thank you.
because of all the rain we have had, we have small ants on the floor, on counter, in cabinets. 1 person says to use ground pepper and sprinkle it around, another says to sprinkle ground cinnamon. We have a house cat and I want to get rid of the ants but not my baby (cat). What can I use that is safe around pets.
