Stray cat that looks to have been injured in a cat fight

There is a stray cat that looks to have been injured in a cat fight. He has a large open wound on the upper left of his head, and his ear looks to have been torn at the base. I believe that the wound is infected. I do not know if the cat will let me come close. He has been eating the food that I have been putting out for him. How can I help him? Thank you.

Is it necessary for dogs to have 24 hour access to water?

Is it necessary for dogs to have 24 hour access to water? I live in Japan and it is not uncommon to see animals chained outside with no water. When I take the owners to task for this, they often respond that the dogs get a drink once or twice a day and that is enough. What does the vet have to say?

2.5 year old toy poodle diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor

WE have a 2.5 year old toy poodle diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour, he has had scans etc and it there but currently surrounded by a lot of fluid which has given him the symptoms that led us to investigation. So we have him home and he is feeling good thanks to steriods, I want to be sure to give him the best chance via diet and wondered what your experiences have been, I have just seen the Hills ND diet which seems a good thing to use along side freshly cooked foods. Of concern is that animal fats have arachidonic acid which is pro-inflammatory. I would be grateful of any shared experiences. With thanks, heartbroken..
