This is about my cat, John L., who I had ethuanized at the age of 14 because of an odd condition. I trust your answers and hope that when you have the time can help me with this one.
I had John L. from a kitten and he was always a huge tiger cat, eating everything in site. He was faithfully by my side every holiday when I was cooking and I had to empty the food bowls overnight for he and my other cats because he would eat everything. One day he jumped off the couch and his back legs would not move. I immediately took him to the vet where he scooted around on the floor. They did an xray and couldn’t find anything so I had to cage him for a while because of the litter box. In a short while he was able to walk again but his appetite was never the same. He would eat and then tire of the food and I had to find something new. After he ate his bowel would immediately move (mostly diahhrea). Medicine didn’t help. I had an ultra sound done but it showed nothing. He still wanted to eat but would turn away from the food. After ten months and a great weight loss I had him euthanized. I never understood what happened to my big tiger who once loved so much to eat. Any thoughts on this? Thank you.
