My cat vomits

I have two indoor cats. Charlie is 2 yrs. old and Ellie is 1 yrs. old. I had Charlie for about a year, before adopting a second cat to give him company while I am at work. They get along really well. My problem is during feeding time. I feed them twice a day, in the morning and again at supper time. In the morning they get dry food and for supper they get wet food. Charlie will vomit right after eating his wet food meal. For variety, I give them a different flavor of wet food everyday, but Charlie will give me the same result. He vomits on average twice a week. I’ve taken him to the vet, had blood work done and nothing was found. For about 4 months he had the same feeding routine with no vomiting at all. Only recently, has the problem started again. For a mini experiment, I gave them both dry food only for both meals. He never vomited his food for those days. Should I be giving him dry food only? What is causing him to vomit?

I’m so frustrated, please help.

Thanks,

Natalie

He is probably eating the wet food too fast! Dry food is acceptable as a sole diet. You might try just a small amount of canned food as a treat, but the bulk of calories as dry food.
