lick granulomas..

Posted By tdomf_d6e07 On August 20, 2011 @ 4:29 PM In Ask the Vet | 1 Comment

I have a 9 year old altered white GSD who has developed a lick granuloma on a front leg. It is currently covered with a telfa pad held in place with a wrapping of gauze, all covered with vet wrap. I tried using triple abx ointment, with little improvement. I am now omitting the abx and wrapping dry. A friend suggested using cornstarch on the area. What’s the best thing to do? He leaves the dressing alone and it stays in place. I have been changing it at least daily, more if it is required.
Thanks.
