We recently acquired a Persian kitten that was abandoned next to my girlfriend’s car while she had our dog at the vet. Initially she was covered in fungus(ringworm), missing lots of hair, way under weight and all around a mess. We nursed her back to health and through a vet prescribed regiment of shampoo, topical medication, and sporanox(oral) have mostly eliminated the fungus. She is approximately 8-9 weeks old and about 2 lbs. She is as active as any kitten, has no problems eating, and seems to be your standard small cat in terms of personality.

Unfortunately she also exhibits minor cold symptoms. Sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose. Though this is not uncommon in Persians I am just including it as part of the symptoms.

The scary part is she has two giant sores/lumps in the back of her mouth on the roof of her mouth. They are almost exactly symmetrical and about half an inch in diameter. They are round and yellowish in color. Initially they looked like ulcers and now they are raised in the middle. She has seen multiple vets who have no idea what it is.

Initially we thought it may have been a result of the sporanox as it can cause mouth sores in humans however she has been off that for a week and it only seems to have gotten worse.

She has tested negative for feline leukemia and does not appear to have FIV or FCV. We are extremely worried and very attached to this kitten.

Just to reiterate her symptoms:

Cold symptoms: runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing

Two sores on the roof of her mouth at the back by her throat.

Sores are yellow lumps with red around them and seem to be symmetrical and about half an inch across.

If this rings any sort of a bell for you or if you could point me in the direction of someone who might know, I would really appreciate it.
