Typically we treat these aggressively with medications containing a combination of an antibiotic, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory topically; such as Panolog, Momentamax, or otimax. In addition we use oral antibiotics like clavamox or cephalexin. Once cleared, we continue regular cleaning with otipan. These medications are only available by prescription.
