I have a question about…THROID ELDLY CAT

MY 18 YR OLD MALE PERIAN HAS HYPER THROID AND KIDNEY PROBLEMS, IVE TAKEN HIM TO 2 VETS WHICH HAVE TREATED WITH MEDS AND VITAMINS, HE’S GOTTON TO BE SKIN AND BONES AND CAN NO LONGER JUMP, HE DOES’T SEEM TO BE IN PAIN AND I DON’T WANT HIM TO SUFFER BUT I HATE TO PUT HIM DOWN, ANY SUGGECTION??

    These cats may not gain weight even if they are treated properly for the hyperthyroidism. As long as they eat well and interact with their caregiver there is no reason to put them down! I don’t jump as well as I did when I was seventeen, but I have learned to adapt.
