I have a question about…sleepness nights
Marley is rescued terrier/poodle mix and about 23 lbs. We have had mim for ten years. He has started waking up during the night. He trembles terribly (like he does during a thunder storm), paces and continually jumps on and off the bed. I take him outside and he seems to not want to come back into the house even though it is cold outside.
He is fine all day and usually catches up on his sleep.. Any ideas?
He is fine and otherwise healthy. Vet found nothing. Good appetite and bms.
I have resorted to giving 1/2 benedryl so that we can sleep but this doesn’t always work either.

Something is causing Marley some anxiety in the house. Ask your veterinary about the drug amitriptylline for use at night. It is an anti-anxiety drug, not a sleeping pill. An animal communicator may be able to define and help you to correct what is bothering your dog.
