Hello, I have a 3 yr old cat who weighs only 5 pounds & is most likely underweight due to the High Enzymes that were found in her blood. (Possibly due to a liver shunt). She is very small, but very active and healthy overall. We’re scheduled to have an ultrasound done soon to examine her liver. Her doctors are afraid to put her under anesthesia to spay her. There is a 50/50 chance that she will wake up from the surgery, due to her size. And ultimately the decision to have her undergo the surgery, will be entirely up to me. Puma’s heat-cycles have gotten worse. She doesn’t seem to ever come out of them anymore, and she’s growing a habit of urinating around the house. She seems very stressed and in discomfort. I would hope that she isn’t experiencing any pain. I love her so much and desperately want to help her, but can’t find the answer. It would be inhumane I think to let her live like this, and I’m for sure about to lose it any day now. Doctor I need a second opinion, what should I do?!?
