I have a question about…my dog
Enter your question here About a year ago, my toy poodle began to pace the floor and then started uncontrolable shaking and panting. I took her to an emergency vet clinic.. They took x-rays and did extensive blood work and really didn’t come up with any conclusion. They did give me tramadol which calmed her. This behavior started again a week ago. I have taken her to the vet but again no distinct cause. Could this be some type of seizure? It is happening more frequently. They did give me tramadol and it seems to help. She is 11 years old.

I would classify this as an acquired seizure disorder. At the sanctuary, we have good luck with potassium bromide and/or phenobarbital in these kinds of cases.
