Feeding a good quality dry food, about 5 to 6 cups per day should suffice. Some dogs do well with putting all food down in the morning and they will nibble all day. Others do better with dividing the food into a couple of meals per day. If you use canned food, do not make it the bulk of their calories. A can of food would replace about 2 cups of dry food. We feed Blue Diamond Salmon and Brown Rice as our primary food.
