I have a question about…coccidia
I obtained a Rottweiler puppy who is now 8 weeks old. I just found out oneof her sibblings has coccidia. I have the medication SMZ-TMS to treat her but don’t know the dosage because she is only 8 weeks old. What dosagedo I give her?

If your puppy is not showing symptoms it does not need treatment. Many puppies can have coccidia and their own immune system will take care of the problem. When stressed, like moving to a new home, they may show diarrhea and need treatment. Check with your veterinarian before treating. The dose for SMZ-TMS is 120 mg. per 10 lb. body weight twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
