I have a question about…Cats and Menopause?

Hi Pet Vet, I have a cat that will be 11 years old in Nov. I never had her fixed. She was always a skinny cat. For the last 3 months I have noticed that she her sides are looking alittle swollen and now when she goes into heat she is not cleaning herself like she used to. She is leaving little puddles of blood around the house. Do cats go into menopause like humans do? Will she go into heat up intil her passing away?

    This is not normal. Your cat may have a uterine infection. She needs to be examined right away and may need surgery to save her life.
