I have a question about…cat not eating
My cat is 13 years old and she lives with 2 other cats (12 and @7-9). In May she started walking in circles and her behavior towards the cats changed (she was always dominant). I took her to the vet who said he suspected vestibular disease and he suggested glucosamine. This gave her diarhea (not immediately) so I stopped it after about 2 weeks. She also had bloodwork done (all norman). 2 months later, she has lost 2 lbs and is eating very little. I started giving her food every four hours and she would lick it a very times. She went back to the vet this past Friday who said it looked really bad and prescribed prednisolone 5 mg and gave her a shot of it also. She stopped walking in circles but completely refuses to eat. I tried to force feed her but she spits it up or vomits. She is starving herself. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. If only information I can take to the vet. SHe has always been an indoor cat (I have had her since she was 6 weeks old) and she has always been healthy. Thank you.

There are some appetite stimulants that you may try. Cyproheptadine and mirtazapine are two such drugs. If all of the lab work is still normal these drugs may help.
