I have a question about… Canine lymphoma
My friends found a Mastiff/Rott mix dog wondering around Acton a couple of months ago they tried to find the owners but they couldn’t keep him so I took him rather than having him taken to the pound. I’ve had him for about a month and his neck became swollen so I took him to the local vet. They tested him and found he has lymphoma. He was really sick and I thought he wasn’t going to make so I didn’t even consider chemotherapy but now he is doing very well and since the vet thinks he is still young (about 2 years old they think), i would like to get him chemo. He hates riding in cars and I have to lift him in and he’s over 100 lbs. do you know if there is any home care or somewhere near Acton where he can get Chemotherapy. Thanks for your help

Some of the ambulatory veterinarians that care for horses will treat dogs at the ranches they service. For something like chemotherapy, however; it may be difficult o find someone who will come to the home to administer the drugs. Chemotherapy for lymphoma carries a high response rate, so I encourage you to do what it takes to get this dog into a hospital for treatment. Call the local veterinarians. If they do not do this treatment, they will know where to refer you.
