cat’s playing and vaccines

Hi Dr.Brown
I have a couple of questions for you. Back in November I had asked about brushing my cat’s teeth. Anyway, I am here again and I have been reading up on some of your answers about vaccines and I do keep my two cats indoors. In March of last year, they both got the 4-in-1 shot, the rabies and the feline lukemia shots. Is it safe to assume from what I have been reading, that since my cats are indoors that I only need to give them all those shots once every three years? The breeder I bought them from said they don’t need any more shots ever but I find that hard to believe. What are your thoughts?
Also my next question is about a seemingly playful action one of my cats likes to do. When I get down on my hands and knees and crawl around on the floor, one of the cats likes to jump on my legs or back and then she will kick and bite me. I find this action of hers funny(then of course I start to laugh) and assume that this might be a way for her to play with me. When she does this, she doesn’t bite me hard and also does not extend her claws when she wraps her paws around my leg and starts to kick. Do you think that she is only playing with me? What are your thoughts?
P.S. I love the TV show and watch it every chance I get! Keep up the good work with the animals!
