I have a question about…
I just adopted a rescue dog that was a back yard breeder for about 5 yrs. She is a Yorkie and about 5 yrs. old, 6 lbs.
I also have another Yorkie 16 years old.
These two get along but are distant and my new little girl will not come near me and she just does seem to trust me.
How long will it take her to accept us.
I live in a town house and when we are down stairs she is up and when we go up she is down stairs. Thank you.

She may have lacked socialization as a puppy. Do not force interaction. Allow her to set the pace of getting to know you. When you feed her, make a point of always petting her before giving her the meal. It will take time for her to become more interactive.
