Hello Dr.

My cat has a nervous problem; she bites herself and if I touch the base of her tail on her back when I pet her. She has scabs and flaking skin on her lower back from biting herself. I noticed she has fleas so I put on Advantage and she has some relief but if I touch her lower back, she will bite at herself on her paws like she gets frantic about cleaning herself. What can I do to stop her biting herself?
