I have a question about…
I have a 7 year old male Yorkie. He has recently started bitting his back side violently and has developed a scrach and some hair lost. We live in New York and when it gets cold he doesn’t like to ware his wool sweater. Could the matireal of the sweater be the cause.

This could be an allergy to the wool. Make sure there are no fleas; because, chewing at the rear end is one of the most common symptoms of fleas. Leaving off the wool sweater should lead to an abatement of symptoms pretty quickly if there is an allergy to the sweater.
