I have a question about…

Posted By tdomf_d6e07 On January 23, 2011 @ 4:14 AM In Ask the Vet | 2 Comments

I took one of my cats (I have 5) to the vet a couple weeks ago and she was successfully treated for a bladder infection. However, the vet didn’t give me an answer about my other question: My cat will have “sneezing fits” every so often. She begins with clear mucus for a couple days, after which the fits intensify, she will barely eat, and she becomes clingy for a couple days. Once she sneezes out a string of green mucus (it looks like tinsel hanging on her whiskers), she will begin eating more and becomes more like herself. The whole process lasts about a week and occurs every 3-4 weeks. She is probably 10-11 years old, is also prone to urinary tract infections, and is on a special UT diet with Cosequin supplements. I haven’t found this problem described in any of my cat medical books either. Can you help me? Thanks so much!
