This is a combination of jealousy and different life stages. Certainly, personality plays a role. Some older people love kids, some do not. It is unrealistic to expect the older dog to want to participate in rough house play with a youngster. Protect he older dog’s space. Consider getting another dog closer to the young dog’s age.
Thank you for the response my next question is how will I know if its time to put my older dog down she has very bad arthritis in her back leg she has difficulty going up and down the stairs she leaks even though the vet gave me somethin for it and shes getting more aggressive.sometimes when I walk her she falls and its hard for her to get up. Is my dog suffering?
