fighting cats

I recently moved and actually took the feral cats with me. I couldn’t bear to leave them unattended. Unfortunately the area where i live is filled with coyotes and they have eaten quite a few of the cats. I have brought the rest inside until I figure out what to do. I now have 12 cats living in my house. I have 2 females who cannot seem to get along. One of the females will actually stalk the other and attack her. I have to feed this poor cat on top of the fridge just so she can eat without being attacked. Any suggestions as to how I can get them to get along?

At the sanctuary we segregate cats into living areas to accommodate personalities. I would suggest dividing your population into at least two groups and have them live in different rooms of the house. Alternatively, there are drugs that may help. Specifically, amitriptylline may help the problem if given to the cat that is the aggressor. However, this would require giving that cat medication up to twice a day. If she is feral this could prove a major challenge.
