Obviously, I cannot prescribe medication to a particular dog without knowing first hand it medical and physical condition. In general, it would be safe for a 100 pound dog to take 4 mg of valium. There are homeopathics, specifically valerian. that may be safe and effective in your situation and are available at health food stores without prescriptions.
