Dog has cataracts in both eyes & is young. . . can any eyesight be saved?

If a dog has cataracts in both eyes & is young….can any eyesight be saved? Is it an expensive process? Multiple procedures? Is it painful to dog? What kind of vet should i look for to help the dog?

Certainly eyesight can be saved. Expense is a relative term and varies from region to region. Remember, if the dog is young the expense is really spread over the life of the pet. Sometimes due to expense only one eye is done at a time. Pain is minimal and quite manageable. Look for a board certified ophthalmologist to perform the procedure.
