Brown spots on her gums.
I have a 16 month old mixed breed female dog. I recently noticed some brown spots on her gums just above her teeth. They are only on one side. Her teeth are very clean and the gums are otherwise pink and healthy looking. Should I be concerned about a possible health issue?

These are probably normal areas of pigmented tissue. Dogs can have spots in their mouth! Watch for signs of irritation or bumps. When you are in for a routine check up, have your veterinarian verify these are just pigmented areas.
