hello my beagle mollie has been sick with loose stools vomiting and lithargicness and shakiness. she won’t get up. she is almost 10 months old. I have had her over a month and about 85% of that time she has been sick. we tested her for parvo and she was negative. she is going to the bathroom way too much. she got worse after her spay 2 weeks ago. she is on a yellow liquid medication and so far she has been staying the same. would appreciate any feedback thanks

Mollie needs a complete gastrointestinal work up! We would have blood work including bile acids and an ultrasound to rule out a hepatic portal shunt. We would test her stool to rule out parasites. We would also test for distemper. Heska testing and food trials would be performed to rule out food allergies. While waiting for test results we would use a unique protein and carbohydrate food. We would use flagyl as our initial antibiotic and electrolyte supplementation to prevent dehydration.
