Are turkey slices bad for chihuahuas?
Two of my three chihuahuas have had diarrhea for several days and turkey slices are the only food that I’ve given them different. Can turkey cause diarrhea? They are on heartworm pills so I’m sure it’s not worms.

An abrupt change in diet may precipitate diarrhea, especially meat. Turkey, as a rule, is generally less likely to cause a problem. However, a small dog may show problems even from turkey. Getting your pets back on their regular diet will probably solve the problem. If it persists more than three days, seek assistance from your veterinarian.
