An indoor cat

I hear conflicting info about whether an indoor cat with no contact with other animals needs the annual shots….they are rather expensive so I wanted to know if she needs these shots…thank you. Eileen Alcott

    Some diseases are airborne and require vaccinations even in the absence of animal contact. For a cat these would include feline distemper and upper respiratory diseases. All municipalities require a rabies vaccine for pets, due to the human health risk of this disease. After an initial series of vaccines and a booster in one year, they should have vaccines every three years.
