Dachshund with bad case of separation anxiety

I have 2 Dachshund that are 5 months and brothers. One seems to have a very bad case of separation anxiety. What can I do to help him get over this. He is the one that will eliminate in the house after going weeks of being totally potty trained and using the doggie door. I work all day, come home at the same time everyday and make a point to make the boys first when I walk in the door.

This does not seem like typical separation anxiety. Usually the pet will behave badly every time you leave. There may be some relationship dynamics going on between the two dogs. The one with lapses in training may be being bullied by the other and prevented from using the doggie door!

Setting up a video camera with time lapsed exposure may detect the problem. Consultation with a behaviorist or an animal communicator may be your best course of action. There is a drug therapy for separation anxiety, Clomicalm, designed for short term use (usually one month). I would like to make sure it is separation anxiety prior to using this drug!
